Premier Kosher Inc. is part of the Premier Group of Companies and is a leading producer of kosher chicken serving customers across North America. We are seeking an experienced payroll administrator with competencies in other accounting functions – specifically full cycle A/R
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting and Payroll Administrator to join our finance team. This role is essential in managing accurate financial records, processing payroll efficiently, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting and payroll software systems, possess strong data entry and analysis skills, and demonstrate a solid understanding of human resources processes.
Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll and benefits administration
- Establish and maintain payroll procedures, controls, and best practices
- Manage payroll-related journal entries and accruals and reconcile payroll accounts with the general ledger
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial payroll legislation (EHT; WSIB; CRA source deductions, etc.)
- Lead year-end payroll activities (e.g., T4s, reconciliations, audits)
Accounts Receivable
- Manage full-cycle accounts receivable
- Process incoming payments (EFT, credit card, cheque) and apply accordingly
- Follow up with customers on outstanding balances and resolve billing inquiries or disputes
- Collaborate with internal teams (including Sales) to resolve billing or order-related issues
General Accounting and Administration
- Provide accounting support for 2 remote locations that includes full cycle A/R and A/P activities; 3rd party payroll services; banking; visa and bank reconciliation, and month end closing activities
Qualifications
- 5+ years in both payroll administration and general accounting
- Intermediate to advanced level MS Excel skills
- College diploma and/or certificates in the qualified areas
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or the food industry is beneficial as well as experience working within ERP systems

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
