Assistant Ruminant Manager – Support Leadership in Dairy Nutrition
Are you an experienced dairy nutrition professional ready to take the next step in your career? MacEwen Agricentre is looking for a dedicated, bilingual Assistant Ruminant Manager to support our Dairy Nutrition Team and help uphold the highest standards in customer service, technical support, and team leadership.
This role works closely with the Ruminant Manager and our dairy advisors, offering mentorship, operational support, and strategic input to help grow our client base and strengthen on-farm outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Ruminant Manager in coaching, training, and mentoring dairy advisors
- Provide technical guidance and training on DC305 and other key platforms
- Lead prospecting initiatives and support team efforts to grow our customer base
- Monitor sales activity and assist in implementing strategic customer acquisition plans
- Maintain accurate records and assist with performance tracking and reporting
- Collaborate with the team on herd evaluations, customer service, and farm visits
- Participate in sales meetings, internal training, and industry events
- Support feed receivable tracking in coordination with accounting
- Promote a safe, supportive, and collaborative work environment
- Uphold high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and service
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science or Agriculture (BSc)
- Certified Dairy Nutrition Advisor (DNA) designation
- Minimum 5 years of experience in dairy feed sales or nutrition advisory
- Bilingual in English and French – required
- Valid Class G driver's license and clean abstract
- Strong technical knowledge and computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Proven leadership, planning, and communication skills
- A commitment to excellence in customer service and team development
- High attention to detail and a strong safety-first mindset
