Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team in a bustling restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious dishes while maintaining high food quality and presentation standards.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and storing
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed in the kitchen
- Monitor food stock and place orders when there are shortages
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in the food industry as a cook
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Familiarity with restaurant kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food safety guidelines and procedures
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate with kitchen staff effectively
