We are seeking an experienced Head Waiter for our private dining room in a high-end French bistro. The ideal candidate has prior experience working in a private, fine-dining environment; preferably within an upscale Westmount building.
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM (approximately 25–30 hours per week)
Compensation: $24-26.00 per hour + tips
Job description :
- Manage the Reception, Telephone, Reservations, Catering and Private party.
- Deliver the professional greeting of residents and their guests, to the highest standards
- Monitor, manage and review the catering contracts
- Coordinate the staff to ensure they deliver exceptional front of house services.
- Implement dynamic operational working procedures, to support the delivery of service excellence
- Strong communication with residents, employees and the Chef
- Reporting procedures to guide service implementation making improvements or changes where required
- Implement safe working practices to ensure safety of building occupiers and guests
- Sending weekly report to the management
- Menu pricing and menu display in building's elevator
- Creation of special menu on Canvas (or other chosen software), printing of the menu when necessary
- Handling residents complains and finding quick resolution
- Ensuring residents satisfaction and special requests are fulfilled
- Making employees schedule and report bi-weekly hours to the property manager
Requirements
- Excellent command of the French and English language. English is required to respond to requests from English-speaking customers.
