Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver operational technology and facility related projects under the guidance of
a Team Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through
execution, monitoring, and closeout, for complex technical projects that support mission critical systems and infrastructure.
You will work closely with cross functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope,
and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability. This position requires strong organizational skills, the
ability to manage competing priorities, and the capability to drive outcomes in a fast paced, technically complex environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of operational technology projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
- Develop and maintain project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and communications.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including internal stakeholders, vendors, and consultants.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks or deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and present regular project status updates, including financial performance and forecasting.
- Support procurement activities, including preparation of technical specifications, evaluation of proposals, and vendor
selection.
- Oversee vendor and contract management to ensure deliverables are met according to agreed terms.
- Ensure system enhancements and solutions align with operational and business needs.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including senior-level communication and alignment.
- Lead change management efforts related to new systems, processes, or technologies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices.
- Resolve complex technical and operational challenges by coordinating appropriate solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, technology, engineering) and minimum of five years' related experience;
OR
- Diploma and a minimum of seven years' related experience;
OR
- Trade Apprenticeship and an additional related certificate with a minimum of seven years' related experience.
OR
- Combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
- PMP or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification would be an asset
- In depth knowledge of, and demonstrated ability to use, project management tools including Microsoft Office suite (Project,
Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Copperleaf C55 and SAP PS module.
