Cutting Edge Landscaping is currently seeking experienced operator for our landscaping team.
The successful candidate will have experience operating skid steers and small excavators, as well as safely loading, unloading, and transporting equipment with a truck and trailer. This position also requires the ability and willingness to perform physically demanding landscape construction work as part of a hands-on team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a skid steer for rough grading, finish grading, material handling, and loading trucks.
- Operate small excavators when required.
- Transport equipment to and from job sites using a truck and trailer.
- Safely load, unload, and secure equipment for transport.
- Complete daily equipment inspections, greasing, and routine maintenance.
- Fill out digital pre-use inspection reports.
- Assist with excavation, grading, and site preparation.
- Install sod, trees, shrubs, and other landscape materials.
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in landscape construction or a related construction field.
- Proven experience operating skid steers (small excavator experience is an asset).
- Physically capable of performing landscape construction work, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to safely load, unload, and secure equipment without supervision.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good technical understanding of landscaping principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Clean 3-year driver's abstract.
- Reliable transportation
