Mississauga truck and heavy equipment shop currently seeking an experienced 310T and/or 421A licensed mechanic.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Experience working with various construction vehicles/heavy equipment/asphalt equipment
- Physically capable of meeting the job requirements; ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, ability to bend, stoop, kneel and safely climb a ladder
- Proficient in working with technology (computers, tablets, diagnostics, online researching, etc)
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completing work orders
- Field service as per required
- MTO certification and safeties through DriveON
- Perform defect repairs
- Conducting brake, safety, and PM inspections
- Perform safety's for truck equipment in accordance with Ministry of Ontario
- Maintain all records of maintenance performed, parts and supplies used
- Perform on road repairs/services calls as required
- Maintaining required tools for the jobs
- Other duties as assigned by Shop Manager
- Being available for after hours on-call responsibilities as required
Required Experience:
- Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred
- Enrolled as an Apprentice or certified Journeyperson in the heavy duty equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
- Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
Job Requirements:
- A valid 310T certificate and/or 421A certificate and experience in repairing gasoline/diesel vehicles/heavy duty equipment and asphalt equipment
- Must posses the recommended minimum hand tools for a 310T or 421A Technician
- A valid driver's license
- Experience with computers is an asset
- Full-time Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. Potential for overtime hours during the week.

Pay: $150,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
