Join our service team as a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician! In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of customer vehicles while upholding high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform accurate mechanical, electrical, and computer diagnostics across diverse vehicle makes and models.
- Execute preventive maintenance, major repairs, and safety service on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, hand tools, and technical schematics to troubleshoot and complete repairs efficiently.
- Perform SGI vehicle safety inspections (if certified) or collaborate with shop signing officers to process safety inspection documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation following all provincial shop safety guidelines.
- Clearly communicate repair recommendations, job scope, and technical details to service managers or customers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Journeyperson / Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification (or equivalent recognized trade credential).
- An active SGI Vehicle Inspection Certification is considered a strong asset (or highly preferred).
- Proven experience working in an automotive repair shop or dealership environment.
- Proficient with modern diagnostic software, scan tools, and shop machinery.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
