Overview
Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Operative / Order Picker and become a vital part of our fast-paced distribution operation! In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently selecting, loading, and unloading products to ensure timely order fulfillment. Your mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy equipment will be key to maintaining smooth warehouse operations. Duties
- Accurately pick customer orders using warehouse management systems and order picking tools
- Load and unload shipments with heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and load & unload machinery, adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes to ensure proper documentation and inventory control
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining proper ergonomics and safety standards
- Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring products are stored securely and accessible for order picking
- May sweep aisles, dust display racks and perform other general cleaning duties.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environment preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks or clamp trucks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and load & unload operations
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
