Position Title: Respiratory Therapist
Summary:
We are seeking experienced Respiratory Therapists to join our team on a locum basis. Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing care and treatment to patients suffering from respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic tests, including arterial blood gas analysis and cardiopulmonary function tests.
Operate and monitor respiratory equipment for treatments like oxygen therapy and humidified air administration.
Maintain diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory equipment.
Assist with procedures like airway maintenance, line insertions, inductions, intubations, and managing patients and their equipment.
Perform artificial respiration and external cardiac massage.
Assess and monitor patients’ cardiorespiratory conditions.
Qualifications:
Completion of a three-year college or university degree program in respiratory therapy, including clinical training.
Registration in good standing with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) is required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a respiratory Therapist.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.
Additional Information:
- Average pay range is $70-$80 per hour
- Flexible start dates, with a minimum of 4 - 6 weeks required
