Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; we value a strong work ethic and a customer-focused attitude. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a courteous manner
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash and card payments
- Prepare food items according to established safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen and dining spaces
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints professionally, and ensure overall customer satisfaction
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food preparation, cashiering, and food safety standards
- Experience using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of sanitation practices within the food industry is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills
- Prior experience in upselling or suggestive selling techniques is beneficial but not required
