Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in home care settings. The ideal candidate will support seniors and individuals with disabilities by promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing quality of life. This role involves working closely with clients to meet their daily needs while fostering a respectful and caring environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines and protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Support clients with activities of daily living to encourage independence
- Monitor and report any changes in health status or behavior to supervising staff
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety
- Follow care plans accurately and document care provided as required
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to administer medications safely and accurately
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation efficiently
- Flexibility to adapt to different care needs and work environments
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality support services
