We are looking for passionate Part-time Servers to contribute to our restaurant operations, elevate our dining offerings, and deliver outstanding culinary experiences at our Parkway location. The Server role is critical in providing an enjoyable experience to all guests in the facility Bistro, by providing expert customer service and interacting with dining guests to suggest items that meet their needs. This position is also responsible for ensuring an exceptional dining experience by establishing a rapport with all Bistro Guests and responding promptly and courteously to any requests or concerns they may have. This position reports to the Food & Beverage Supervisor for their location, and the Director of Food & Beverage.
This position will be scheduled to work every weekend.
What you will do:
- Interact with guests regularly including convenient seating arrangements, taking orders and suggesting menu items that meet their needs
- Process orders and payments in a timely and professional manner
- Adhere to all liquor and health laws and regulations
- Promote and engage Bistro guests in company promotions
- Helping kitchen staff as needed
- Other duties as assigned
What you need to be successful:
- Provincial Responsible Alcohol Service training is mandatory (Smart Serve Ontario)
- WHMIS certification required (training provided)
- Previous experience in a similar environment is an asset, willing to train
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills is a must
- Demonstrated conflict and stress management skills required
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- Ability to work days, afternoons, evenings and weekends
- Ability to complete a criminal record check
