Position: Recreation Manager
Reports To: Senior Recreation Manager

Position Summary:
The Recreation Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Guest Services, Rentals, Retail, and Recreation activities at the Resort. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences while driving retail performance, staff development, and operational excellence across both winter and summer seasons. The Recreation Manager will collaborate with other departments throughout the Resort to deliver seamless and memorable guest experiences.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of Guest Services, Rentals, Retail, and Recreation activities.

Approve employee time and attendance daily

Build, maintain, and communicate weekly schedules across all recreation outlets with budgeted labour costs

Assist in the development and implementation of a diverse range of recreational programs and activities for guests.

Serve as the first escalation point for guest concerns, complaints, and special requests.

Manage the staffing needs, recruitment, onboarding, and training within the department.

Lead the planning and execution of winter and summer recreation programming, including camps and daily activities.

Oversee the Resort Race Series and support special events in collaboration with other departments.

Oversee the RFID inventory

Support with RTP

Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote recreation programs, events, and retail offerings.

Maintain and improve standards and services to ensure guest satisfaction and member loyalty.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to staff

Encourage high employee morale and engagement within the team and address employee relations matters promptly with Senior Recreation Manager.

Improve, maintain, and adhere to all operational and safety procedures ensuring safe and efficient operation in all departments

Work with Resort leaders to ensure all recreation facilities and equipment are maintained and in a safe and operational condition.

Gather and analyze guest feedback to continuously improve the recreational offerings.

Qualifications:

Previous Leadership within hospitality or Resort setting is an asset

Must be self-motivated and able to take initiative

Be able to lead and motivate a large team of staff in multiple departments

Excellent customer service, organization, and computer skills

Ability to multi-task and cope with the pressure of the fast paced resort environment

Superior communication, interpersonal and management skills

Good knowledge of all guest services, retail and rental operations

Strong working knowledge of POS and Google operating systems
