Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Educator Assistant to support our early childhood education team. This role involves assisting with the supervision and care of young children in a nurturing environment, fostering their development, and ensuring a safe and engaging space for learning and play. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children, strong caregiving skills, and a commitment to creating a positive experience for every child.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities, lesson plans, and educational programs tailored to early childhood development.
- Support children during playtime, meals, nap times, and learning activities to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Observe and document children's progress and behavior to inform teaching strategies and communicate with parents as needed.
- Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation in activities.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and conflict resolution among children.
- Assist with setting up materials and resources for activities to foster creativity and exploration.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Background in early childhood education or related caregiving fields is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to engage children through teaching, caregiving, and nurturing interactions.
- Familiarity with best practices in early childhood development and safety protocols is advantageous.
