Office Support/Bookkeeper
We are seeking a detail‑oriented, professional Office /Bookkeeper to work on-site in our office. This role is ideal for candidates who prefer shorter daily shifts and enjoy a mix of bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but may not be limited to:
Responsible for day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks such as posting financial transactions, managing payables and receivables, payroll support, account reconciliations, and preparing routine financial reports.
Reception duties, including answering and directing phone calls.
Perform data entry, filing, and front‑desk duties· Maintaining office supplies; insurances, permits, governance and company correspondence.
Assist with fundraising proposals/grants as needed.
Assist with the planning, organizing and finalizing of all event details for workshops and conferences.
· Assume other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Post-secondary training in office and bookkeeping practices, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, sound knowledge of office procedures and practices.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and cooperatively with volunteers, staff and other organizations.
· Attention to detail, strong work ethic, possess strong interpersonal skills, maintain confidentiality.
· Valid driver’s license and use of a vehicle is an asset.
· Experience working in a service orientated environment and working with the public a definite asset.
Job Type: Part-time (Approx. 15 – 17 hrs per week)
Pay: $20 – $22 per hour (depending on experience).
