Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial driving and operate heavy equipment as needed. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with potential for skill development in freight handling and automotive repair.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and goods to designated destinations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including delivery receipts and logs
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation
- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred; a standard driver’s license is required with a clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is a plus
- Knowledge of freight handling, automotive repair, or related skills is advantageous
- Ability to operate vehicles safely over long distances and in various weather conditions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided as necessary
Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
