Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized station environment. This position also involves booking mechanical work for our shop, as well as billing mechanical service customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet & serve fuel to customers warmly and assist with their needs in a professional manner
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Process payments efficiently using various payment methods including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments
- Maintain cleanliness of the station, including fueling areas, convenience store, and surrounding premises
- Restock shelves and ensure merchandise is well-organized and appealing
- Provide information about products and services offered at the station
- Follow safety procedures during fueling operations and handle any emergencies appropriately
- Manage phone inquiries with professionalism using proper phone etiquette
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills in English
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to operate POS systems and other retail technology tools effectively
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and upselling strategies is advantageous
- Professional appearance with good phone etiquette when interacting via phone or in person
