Your mission
You will work on the Audio team helping to ensure that the studios are prepared for each session. You will be responsible for the setup of recording sessions and equipment prior to each record. You will assist with dialogue edits and have the opportunity to support in the sound design process. You will assist in receiving and delivering assets to and from clients. You will interact closely with recording engineers to ensure they have all necessary materials for sessions and will change over the studio between sessions to ensure a smooth transition. You will play a key role in ensuring studio equipment and software are functional.
Your responsibilities
- Edit and clean session files, complete dialogue edits, assist with sound design
- Receive, check and prepare assets for recording sessions for voiceover, ADR, dubbing, mixing etc. at the start and end of each day
- Assist engineers with technical updates, troubleshooting and testing of equipment as needed
- Deliver and manage session files
- Archive all record files at the end of each day
- Communicate with clients and assist them with their requests
- Maintain a clean and professional studio environment
- Perform other job-related tasks as required
Your qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in the Audio field
- Proficient with ProTools, computers and audio equipment
- Sound editing experience
- Relevant sound and/or industry experience is an asset
- Firm understanding of audio signal flow and recording equipment
- A self-starter with good organizational skills and initiative
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Ability to work in a team and maintain good communication
- Flexibility with working hours as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Flexible when schedules are subject to change
- Good time management and punctuality
