Summary
We are seeking a skilled Building Operator to join our team at the Birchwood Inn. This role is vital in maintaining our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests. Your expertise will directly contribute to our commitment to quality service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of building systems.
- Manage and coordinate facility maintenance tasks using CMMS.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Supervise maintenance staff and provide training as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues.
- Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervising building operations or facilities maintenance.
- 4th Class Power Engineer's Certificate would be asset.
- One-year experience of power engineering duties, or equivalent of training and experience would be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and CMMS systems.
- Strong knowledge of Computerized Building Management systems.
- Electrical experience with a focus on troubleshooting and repair.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to building systems.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Customer service orientation with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
