Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, physically capable Yard Attendants for part time (8-16 hrs) role starting immediately. This position is ideal for an experienced operator who takes pride in organization, interacting with the general public and equipment.
Position is part time seasonal, year-round work available for the right candidates. We offer shifts seven days a week (days, evenings, and weekends), with opportunities for snow removal during the winter season.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate wheel loaders to load landscape materials for customers and contractors.
- Perform basic mechanical checks and minor repairs on yard equipment and shop tools.
- Assist with heavy lifting, manual yard organization, and ensuring the facility remains clean and professional.
- Provide reliable snow removal and ice management during the winter season.
· Develop and maintain familiarity with landscape products and materials.
· Communicate professionally with customers/contractors and provide basic product information.
· Ensure outdoor inventory areas are clean, organized, and clearly presented.
· Safely unload incoming inventory shipments and build brick, stone, or bagged material orders.
· Communicate with yard lead or supervisor on shift.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating a wheel loader or similar equipment.
- A basic understanding of mechanics and equipment troubleshooting.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for shifts.
· Must be able to safely lift 75 lbs or more and stay active all day.
· Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication skills.
· Reliable team player who follows direction and supports team goals.
