Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Cook. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and adherence to food safety standards. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in food handling, storage, and inventory management to ensure freshness and safety
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, providing excellent food service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Follow all food safety regulations and procedures to ensure compliance with health standards
- Assist with meal preparation during busy periods, supporting team members as needed
- Ensure proper food presentation and quality control before serving dishes to customers
- Support the team in maintaining a positive work environment focused on teamwork and efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly required
- Strong understanding of the food industry practices and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus
