Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist pharmacists with preparing and dispensing medications accurately according to prescriptions
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies as needed
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
- Maintain detailed records of medication transactions and patient interactions in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims
- Ensure the pharmacy area remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery and patient support
Experience
- Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is highly desirable
- Experience as a pharmacy technician or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures is essential
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is a plus
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $16.01-$25.00 per hour
