Our team is looking for a Construction Surveyor who is driven to deliver their best work every day and is committed to working collaboratively to achieve shared goals on our transit work in Edmonton. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct daily field surveys along railway corridors using GNSS, total stations, and trolley rail systems.
- Stake out points, lines and levels to guide the construction process.
- Collect and report survey data on rail geometry and alignments.
- Produce and confirm topographical surveys.
- Provide detailed and accurate daily survey field data, notes, sketches, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with onsite managers, superintendents, and track construction teams to ensure survey deliverables meet project specifications and timelines.
- Identify and communicate field discrepancies to the project and survey manager in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in the advancement of Tri Innovations’ health and safety program.
- Responsible for maintenance and ongoing care of all survey equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or diploma in Geomatics, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Minimum 5 years experience in construction surveying; rail experience is an asset.
- Proficient with Trimble field equipment and software.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.
- Willing to work outdoors in varying conditions all year.
- Willing to travel for work.
- Capable of executing tasks in a safe, accurate, efficient manner.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract.
