Nitara is a growing South Indian restaurant in Edmonton focused on authentic flavors, quality, and excellent customer experience. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Dosa Cook who can prepare traditional South Indian dishes with consistency and speed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dosas, uttapams, idli, vada, chutneys, and sambar
- Manage dosa station efficiently during busy service hours
- Ensure batter quality, consistency, and proper food preparation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Assist with prep work and kitchen organization
- Work with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements
- Previous experience making dosas and South Indian cuisine preferred
- Knowledge of dosa batter fermentation and tawa handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Food safety knowledge is an asset
Preferred Skills
- Experience with high-volume dosa stations
- Ability to multitask and maintain consistency
- Familiarity with Indian restaurant kitchen operations
