Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and food service, with experience or interest in food preparation, cleaning, and supporting kitchen operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on culinary experience and develop skills in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Duties
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly to ensure cleanliness and availability for kitchen staff
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to meet health and safety standards
- Support catering and banquet setups by organizing supplies and assisting with food service as needed
- Buss tables during meal service to ensure a clean dining environment
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene in all tasks
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by performing various support duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Experience with bussing, food preparation, cooking, or culinary activities is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others in the kitchen setting
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn about culinary operations and hospitality services
