Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and cooking processes, and maintaining overall restaurant efficiency. A background in hospitality, food industry operations, and team management is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations
- Enforce food safety policies and ensure adherence to health regulations
- Lead restaurant management tasks including maintaining cleanliness, organizing workflow, and optimizing service efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Assist with menu planning, costing, and developing new dishes to enhance the dining experience
- Manage restaurant operations during shifts to ensure profitability and high standards of service
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
