We are looking for a skilled Senior Financial Analyst, Real Estate Finance, with a background in real estate who will assist with a broad range of financial analysis across our entire portfolio. This includes vertical development, land development, house building, income properties, strategic acquisitions and corporate initiatives. You will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives, assessing investment opportunities and providing insights that drive sound financial decision-making within the organization.

You will
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess the financial feasibility of potential real estate acquisitions, spanning vertical development, home building, land development, and income-producing properties. The financial modelling and proforma building will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess the economic impact of proposed projects and provide recommendations for decision-making.
- Utilize financial models to analyze trends, conduct scenario analysis, and provide insights for decision-making.
- Develop, maintain and enhance Net Asset and Fair Value models to accurately reflect the valuation of real estate assets across our portfolio.
- Collaborate with finance and senior management teams to structure and optimize capital stacks for new acquisitions or partnerships.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and training to financial analysts and accounting team members on maintaining proformas and financial models.
- Provide analytical support for executing capital formation plans, including preparing financial models, sensitivity analyses and scenario planning.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide decision support to management as needed. Assist in special projects and initiatives requiring financial expertise.
- Design, develop and maintain interactive financial dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and design dashboards that provide actionable insights into the financial health of real estate portfolios.
You have
- A Business, Finance or Real Estate degree
- A CPA, CA or CFA designation (an asset).
- Minimum 5 - 6 years’ industry experience in a related role (required).
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to build and manage complex cash flow models and manipulate data.
- A deep understanding of investment return metrics.
- The ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- The experience to work well under pressure and to manage tight deadlines.
- The confidence to be comfortable in open conversations with senior leaders; adept at presenting and justifying perspectives.

Salary
$110,000 $125,000 year estimated, based on experience.
