Job Summary
Panorama Hills Animal Hospital is a privately owned facility in NW Calgary. We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Client Care Specialist (Receptionist) to join our veterinary team of veterinary professionals. We are a group of fun loving, highly passionate and hilarous group of individuals. We are looking for a positive, upbeat member to join our family. We are a growing team of 5 RVTS, 1 Receptionist and 2.5 DVMS.
This vital role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing appointment scheduling, and supporting the daily operations of our clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners, and experience in a veterinary or medical setting. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to animal health and well-being, and help to strengthen the human-animal bond.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently using our clinic management system.
- Answer phone calls, respond to client inquiries, and provide accurate information about services.
- Maintain detailed and organized patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Process payments and handle billing procedures accurately.
- Support the veterinary team with administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Assist RVT and Veterinarians with patients and patient care
- Cleaning and maintenance of the clinic, and some cross training in the back.
- Ability to handle fast paced environment at times, and high attention to detail.
Experience
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role is preferred.
- Laboratory experience is considered a valuable asset, aiding in sample handling and record management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathize with pet owners.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling and record keeping is desirable. This role is essential for maintaining efficient clinic operations while delivering compassionate care to our clients and their pets.
