General Body & Equipment is a custom industrial truck body builder with employees in Edmonton and Saskatoon. We continue to grow after more than 40 years in the business and built our reputation by consistently designing and building the highest quality custom truck bodies found on the road today. We are looking for a full time Assembly Technician to join our team in Edmonton! The successful candidate will be expected to do the following:
· Install truck mounted bodies and equipment
· Repair truck mounted bodies and equipment
· Read and interpret CAD drawings
· Work in a safety conscious environment
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
· Highschool diploma
· 2-3 years’ experience as a general labourer – experience with aluminum or steel truck service bodies a definite asset
· Knowledge of tools including:
o Drill press
o Bandsaw
o Grinders
o Drills
o Power tools
o Hand tools
· Keen eye for detail
· Passion or interest in assembling and repairing
· Good written and communication skills
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs
· Overall handyman, good with your hands
