Located in Central Alberta, Air Spray (1967) Ltd. is an Aerial Fire Suppression company which has been operating throughout Canada for nearly 60 years. With approximately 30 aircraft in the fleet, this privately owned business proudly protects local communities and forests from wildfires across Canada, and beyond.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Machinist to join our team of aviation specialists!
Qualifications;
- Journeyman Machinist License, or equivalent aviation experience
- Gibbs Cam Mill level 1 or higher
- Extensive experience with solids
- Proficient in English, written and spoken
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
Responsibilities Include;
- Supporting aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities by manufacturing parts and performing component repairs
- Set up, program, and operate conventional and CNC machine tools to manufacture, modify, repair, and overhaul aircraft components and tooling
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine machining processes and tolerances
- Manufacture precision aerospace components from aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other specialty alloys in accordance with engineering data
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments and coordinate measuring equipment to verify conformance
- Diagnose machining, tooling, and dimensional issues and apply corrective actions
- Utilize the Company reporting system to report any hazard, incident or accident
- Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines
- Other related duties as assigned
