Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber/Pipefitter to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various industrial and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools, and experience reading schematics and blueprints. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems using appropriate techniques such as welding, rigging, and fitting.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to join metal components securely.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure precise work.
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing and piping systems to prevent failures.
- Assist with rigging and lifting heavy equipment or materials safely during installations or repairs.
- Troubleshoot issues within piping systems using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing, pipefitting, or related mechanical trades.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and general welding techniques.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in manufacturing or construction environments.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, calipers, and rigging equipment.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for piping systems is preferred.
