Vescio Funeral Homes located in Woodbridge, Maple, and Toronto is expanding its team. We are currently looking for part-time funeral director assistants to begin working immediately at all f our three locations . To work either in the funeral home or on funeral services. An appropriate candidate to work on funeral services would be able to assist our team of funeral directors on funeral services. You would need to have a professional demeanor, be well groomed, and eager to help others. Some work would include driving vehicles in procession, setting up flowers in churches, reserving and assisting patrons with parking, and completing deliveries.
Experience driving limousines is a plus but not required.
The appropriate candidate MUST have:
· Valid G drivers license and clean record.
· A Black Suit, white dress shirts, and black leather dress shoes.
The Part-Time Funeral Director Assistant working in the funeral home would support the Funeral Director and staff during visitations, services, and receptions. This role focuses on providing compassionate assistance to families and guests, maintaining a welcoming environment, and helping with hospitality needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet families and visitors with professionalism, empathy, and respect
- Guide families and guests to appropriate visitation rooms or service areas
- Assist the Funeral Director during visitations and services as needed
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, and light refreshments
- Help set up, maintain, and clean reception and gathering areas and building
- Monitor visitation areas to ensure families’ needs are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of public areas
- Provide general assistance to funeral home staff as required
