Project Supervisor – Quality & Production Support
Pay: $ 22.35 per hour
Shift Timing: Afternoons: 3:30pm-12:30am Monday - Thursday, 12:30pm-6:30pm Friday.
Project Supervisors are responsible for overseeing customer projects, managing team member performance, and ensuring all deliverables meet quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role provides on-site leadership at customer manufacturing facilities or warehouses where Stratosphere Quality teams are deployed.
In addition to traditional supervision responsibilities, this position includes direct production floor support and quality-focused problem solving in automotive manufacturing environments. The Project Supervisor works closely with customer teams to address production issues, support containment activities, and ensure consistent execution of quality standards.
This role may also support temporary production supervision coverage during customer or internal staffing needs.

Supervise teams of Quality Inspectors at assigned customer location

Ensure all teams operate according to safety, quality, and customer requirements

Provide hands-on production floor support and respond to quality or process issues in real time

Support containment activities and non-conformance resolution as required

Assist with root cause analysis activities (5 Why, basic 8D support, etc.)

Participate in process monitoring and verification activities to ensure product quality

Support development and execution of work instructions and inspection standards

Conduct layered process audits (LPA) and document findings as required

Collaborate with customer Quality and Production teams to resolve issues and improve processes

Provide coverage for Production Supervisor responsibilities when required

Train, coach, and support team members to ensure consistent performance and understanding of procedures

Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and communication with internal and external stakeholders

Follow all safety policies and ensure compliance at all times

2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience in automotive or metal manufacturing environments preferred (stamping, welding, assembly)

Exposure to quality tools such as 5 Why, 8D, FMEA, SPC, or similar problem-solving methods

Experience supporting production floor operations or quality inspection teams

Strong communication and customer relationship skills

Ability to work independently in fast-paced production environments

Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including afternoons or overtime if required

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability

Associates degree or equivalent experience required; technical or manufacturing education preferred
