Position Overview
As a Jr. Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, modification or renovation of plant equipment and facility's maintenance, while ensuring all Plant Safety and Product Safety Programs are adhered to.
Work Location: 100% On-Site - 40 Centennial Rd, Orangeville, ON L9W 3T3

Key Responsibilities
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
- Install machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Repair or replaces defective machinery parts.
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Assemble machinery prior to installation.
- Comply with administrative and reporting procedures.
- Ensure all equipment and tools for which responsible are maintained in the proper operating condition to meet established plant needs, established safety, sanitation, standards, etc.
- Complete all daily work orders or other key tasks as assigned.
- Report all pertinent issues to management or others in a timely manner.
- Strict adherence to all Company established policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Food Handling, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation.
- Special projects or other duties as required.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience, ideally in a food manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Education: Diploma, trade certification, or advanced training in Maintenance, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair packaging and processing equipment.
- Work Ethic: Strong commitment to safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Physical Demands: Comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 25lbs, working on a production floor, and operating in various temperatures/environments.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as operational demands require.
