40 hours per week (full‑time) out of busy season (May 1 – December 31). Potential of up to 70 hours per week (full-time) in busy season (January 1 – April 30)
Job Duties

The employee will:
- Examine and analyze financial records, statements, and supporting documents
- Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards
- Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and internal control effectiveness
- Identify financial risks, control weaknesses, and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile financial discrepancies
- Prepare working papers, audit files, and documentation for review
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and irregularities
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial tax regulations
- Prepare tax returns, remittances, and related documentation
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Provide financial advice and recommendations to management
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes
- Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- CPA designation (asset, not mandatory)
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis
- Minimum 3 years of experience with accounting softwares such as QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Plooto, CaseWare, CCH iFirm (T1, T2, T3, Forms, Job and Billings, Portal), CanTax (T1, T2, T3, Form Master), TaxPrep (T1, T2, T3, Forms), Blue Bee, and GSS (Global Shop Solutions) is an asset.
- Experience with various client industries such as Physicians, Dentists, Lawyers, Construction, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Not For Profits, Restaurants, Franchises, and Investments.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and audit standards
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling
- Ability to prepare accurate financial reports
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
Language:
English (required), Urdu/Hindi for some clients.
