Customer Service Representative & Rental Agent

Cycle BC is proud to offer Canada’s largest selection of rental motorcycles, scooters and bicycles. We are all about providing the best possible experience for our customers, whether it be a day trip on a scooter to explore the city, a pedal around the seawall on a bicycle or an extensive multi-week tour through the Rockies on one of our motorcycles. Previous motorcycle experience isn’t required; we would rather find the right person for the job as it is a small team that needs to work well together. We are happy to teach you how to ride and perform basic maintenance on the equipment if you want to learn.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for riding, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer service. This role will involve assisting customers with rentals, providing recommendations on routes, overviews of equipment, and ensuring that every customer has a memorable experience with us.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with rentals, including but not limited to providing an overview of the rental agreements and rates. Fitting helmets and adjusting bikes for optimal comfort and safety. Providing basic training on scooters. Giving orientations and overviews of controls on motorcycles.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on routes, points of interest, and local attractions.
- Process rental transactions accurately and efficiently using our rental management system.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment, such as cleaning and inspecting for damage.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized rental area, ensuring that all equipment is properly stored and displayed.
Qualifications:
- Passion for riding (anything on two wheels) and outdoor recreation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to lift and carry bicycles and equipment as needed.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
· Must have a valid driver’s license (class 5 or N). A motorcycle license is not required.

- A four-day on (10 hours per day), three days off schedule in the summer months.
