Daymi is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee daily back-of-house operations at our growing Lebanese-inspired restaurant in downtown Toronto.
This is a primarily BOH-focused leadership role. The ideal candidate is highly organized, calm under pressure, operationally minded, and comfortable stepping onto the line during service when needed.
While the role is focused on kitchen operations, the Kitchen Manager will also assist with select front-of-house administrative responsibilities including scheduling, team coordination, and maintaining overall operational flow.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen and prep operations
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, prep systems, and waste control
- Support hiring, training, and team accountability
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards are maintained
- Step onto the line during busy service periods when needed
- Assist with staff scheduling and shift coordination
- Occasionally oversee FOH operations to ensure smooth day-to-day execution
- Work closely with ownership on operational improvements and systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of BOH or kitchen management experience required
- Strong understanding of kitchen workflow and prep systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment
- Leadership and communication skills
- Experience with Middle Eastern cuisine is an asset
- FOH-only experience is not sufficient for this role

- Approximately 45-50 hours/week (weekdays + weekends as needed)
- Hiring starting July 15
