Job Summary
We are a small but growing company looking for a hands-on, reliable Structured Wiring Technician / Security Specialist. This role includes installing and maintaining structured cabling and electronic security systems in both commercial and industrial settings. You will travel across the Maritimes during the week and return home for weekends.
Responsibilities
- Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, and fiber optic cables
- Set up and configure security systems, including alarms, cameras (CCTV), and access control
- Troubleshoot and repair system issues
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Maintain clean and accurate documentation of installations
- Follow all safety procedures and industry standards
- Interact professionally with clients on-site
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in structured cabling or security system installation
- Knowledge of low-voltage systems, wiring standards, and diagnostic tools
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable with physical work, including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces
- Criminal background check required due to security access
Schedule & Travel
- Primarily weekday work
- Occasional night and weekend work based on project needs
- Travel throughout the Maritime provinces is required, with all technicians returning home on weekends
- Company vehicle provided (For work use.)

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
