Class 1 Crane & Telebelt Operator
Marshall Construction Company is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Crane & Telebelt Operator to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Operate cranes, telebelts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on residential/commercial construction sites.
- Transport, set up, and operate crane and telebelt units in accordance with site requirements and manufacturer guidelines.
- Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials in compliance with safety and transportation regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections, equipment inspections, logbooks, and routine maintenance checks.
- Perform lifting operations, material placement, and telebelt concrete/material delivery safely and accurately.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with general construction and labour duties as required.
- Maintain clean, professional vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, ground personnel, and site crews to ensure safe operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence.
- Minimum 3 years of crane (Atlas 33 CS's and Hiab 410) operating experience.
- Minimum 3 years of telebelt operating experience.
- Experience hauling and transporting heavy equipment is an asset.
- Manual transmission experience required.
- Valid crane operator certification/tickets considered a strong asset.
- Clean Driver's Abstract (maximum 3 demerit points).
- Construction or concrete forming experience is an asset.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Test.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Available for overtime and occasional Saturdays.
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout Central Alberta.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
- Excellent awareness of safe lifting practices, load handling, and site hazards.
