Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive electrical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on complex projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse electrical systems, including low voltage and programmable logic controllers, contributing to the successful completion of renovation, construction, and maintenance projects.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with safety standards and technical specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical work efficiently.
- Work on renovation projects, including upgrading existing electrical systems and installing new wiring.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as required for automation processes.
- Conduct inspections of electrical components to identify issues related to low voltage systems or industrial equipment.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure wiring and electrical systems meet project specifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of electrical components and use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- Valid journeyperson electrician license or certification.
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, schematics, and automation controls.
- Ability to perform renovation work and adapt to various project requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting tasks.
