You are an experienced survey drafter with a strong background supporting field crews in construction environments. This is an opportunity to contribute to projects where precision and safety are paramount. You’ll be working alongside experienced crews, translating field data into accurate, high-quality drawings that support construction, engineering, and land development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce field work drawings and coordinate files to support survey and construction activities.
- Create field-level designs based on engineering drawings, survey data, and project specifications.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of incoming field files to verify accuracy and compliance with design requirements.
- Maintain and update compiled project drawings throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Generate accurate as-built drawings for project closeout and client records.
- Prepare turnover drawing packages and survey deliverables for client submission.
- Create stakeout files from design drawings to support field layout and construction operations.
- Generate machine control files for GPS-guided construction equipment.
- Produce piling reports and track installation data for quality and progress monitoring.
- Process and analyze point cloud data to develop surface models and design deliverables.
- Manage large surface and terrain datasets to support survey and construction projects.
- Calculate earthwork volumes and prepare detailed volume analysis reports.
- Track project quantities and prepare weekly quantity reports for project teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, project managers, and field crews to support project execution.
- Review design data and resolve drafting discrepancies to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure all drawings, models, and deliverables meet project standards, specifications, and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Preferential to have completed 2-year diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong technical background in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to produce drawings
- Proficient with Trimble Access and Trimble Business center
- Motivated, self-starter who can work well independently or within a team environment
- Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
- Advanced RPAS Certification and ability to fly a drone is an asset
- Drafters with previous survey field experience will be preferred
Work Conditions
- 14 days on, 7 days off, working 10-11 hour days. Overtime rates apply after 8 hours worked per day
