And we are looking for a seasoned Detail Crew Lead to fill a current opening. As our Detail Crew Lead, you will blend your eye and passion for horticulture with strong team management. Our standards are high and yours should be too. Our Detail Crew handles delicate plant and lawn care, pruning, edging, and cleanups, ensuring every site meets our strict quality standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Promote a positive team environment through motivation, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving skills

Effectively lead and be responsible for a small crew to beautify and maintain our spaces.

Coordinate materials, equipment and daily job flow.

Work alongside your crew. This is a hands-on leadership role.

Perform various landscaping tasks (lawn care, pruning, bed work, planting, mulching, etc.) as required

Operate and drive work trucks and trailers
- Operate powered tools and equipment including, but not limited to, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters and chain saws

Communicate updates, issues and anomalies (good and bad) to the Division Manager

Keep projects on schedule and within budget

Provide friendly, helpful, and professional customer service to clients as required by Management
- Train and support crew members as they develop.

Enter and maintain timesheets

Complete site and equipment documentation
-
Conduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment and report any issues, damages, etc.
Qualifications
-
Minimum two years of practical experience leading a landscaping crew.
- Minimum one year of professional garden maintenance experience – cultivating, weeding, edging, pruning, dead heading, etc.
- One or more years of experience in grass cutting and trimming
- Basic plant identification and care knowledge. Horticulture Diploma an asset

Valid G driver’s license and clean abstract

Ability to drive a Truck and Trailer

Pesticide Licence and/or First Aid an asset

Strong communication and leadership skills
- Punctual, trustworthy, and reliable
- Positive and professional team attitude
Physical Demands / Work Environment

Full time. Occasional extended hours may be required.

Work outdoors in many different conditions. (Read: Most of them.)

Travel (between job sites, etc.)

Lift and move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds

Lots of standing, bending and crouching.
- Lots of repetitive tasks

Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
