Job Title: Drawing Control Analyst III
Location: Edmonton, AB
Schedule: Hybrid (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office; Wednesday, Friday remote)
Our client is seeking a Drawing Control Analyst III to support engineering and project teams by managing, reviewing, and publishing drawings within a structured drawing management system to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and system integrity.
What's the Job?
- Support as-built consolidation and publishing by integrating approved updates into master drawing records and ensuring all finalized drawings are available in Meridian before project execution and turnover
- Coordinate reviews with Major Projects and Core Project SMEs to ensure compliance with drawing system requirements
- Track project progress across design, IFC, and as-built phases, maintaining visibility into review and turnover status
- Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on workspace and project folder setup for design, construction, and as-built activities
- Resolve broken hybrid drawings by identifying and fixing xreference issues within CAD files, ensuring usability within Meridian
- Update outdated PDF renditions by regenerating and publishing accurate versions aligned with the latest approved master drawings
- Clean up legacy drawing discrepancies, improving consistency between drawings, renditions, and metadata for better system reliability
- Collaborate daily with engineering drawings teams and turnover/integration groups to maintain project momentum
What's Needed?
- University degree, technical diploma, or equivalent combination of training and drawing control experience
- 2–4 years of experience in drawing management, ideally within engineering or oil and gas
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of Meridian drawing management system
- Basic familiarity with BIM-JIRA and Excel
