Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving record, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and a commitment to timely deliveries. This position offers an essential service within our logistics operations, supporting the seamless movement of products across various locations.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks and commercial vehicles to transport goods between designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly to ensure ongoing operational safety
Qualifications
- Experience with manual transmission required.
- Valid commercial driver’s license class 3 with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type being operated
- Proven experience in driving large trucks or commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for safe driving
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems and route planning tools
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and heavy lifting tasks when necessary
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of responsibility and professionalism
Pay: $22.50-$25.00 per hour
