Driver-class 5
The Class 5Driver plays a key role in supporting Copperside Foods’ commitment to local service and operational excellence. This position is responsible for the safe, efficient delivery of products to stores and customers while maintaining high standards for professionalism and accuracy. As the face of our transportation team, the driver helps build strong relationships through dependable service and respectful interactions, contributing to our goal of elevating customer and employee satisfaction in every part of the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 5 vehicle with air brakes to complete deliveries across designated routes.
- Load and unload product using pallet jacks, or manual methods as required.
- Verify load accuracy and ensure secure transportation of goods.
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks and delivery records.
- Adhere to all provincial traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate with dispatch to report delays, mechanical issues, or delivery problems.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle.
- Provide friendly and professional service to all customers and store staff.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
- Clean driving abstract.
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience (Class5 or equivalent preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safe loading/unloading practices and cargo securement.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
