Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our Estate Administration team. This role is well-suited for someone with experience or strong interest in estate planning and estate administration, who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment..
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file probate applications and estate administration documents
- Compiling formal inventory of the estate’s assets to file with the probate court
- Draft correspondence and communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties
- Coordinate the distribution of estate assets and drafting formal closing letters to wrap up the file
- Handle billing and trust accounting tasks in accordance with firm procedures
- Manage file organization and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Paralegal or Legal Assistant program, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in estate planning and/or estate administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and legal practice management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple files and competing deadlines efficiently
