Job Overview
The MBSE Ironworker is a skilled construction professional responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to steel erection, reinforcement, and structural assembly on commercial and industrial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and technical schematics. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in heavy lifting, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools. As an integral part of the construction team, the MBSE Ironworker will contribute to the successful completion of projects by ensuring precise installation and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Erect and install structural steel components according to blueprints and schematics
- Install SSR roofing system
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts safely to move materials
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for cutting, shaping, and joining steel elements
- Install IMP panel systems
- Conduct restoration work including caulking, concrete finishing, flooring installation, and renovation tasks
- Assist with demolition or removal of existing structures when required
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and masonry to coordinate project tasks
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or steel erection roles with a focus on ironworking or structural steel installation
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading is essential
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery
- Prior experience working with schematics for complex assembly tasks
