Position Overview
ARS Responds Canada is seeking a Business Development Associate based out of our Ottawa office to support the continued growth and development of the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario region. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with insurers, agents, brokers, property managers, and property owners, and promoting our restoration services following water, fire, storm, and other event-driven disasters. Industry experience is an asset, and we are looking for a results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to drive revenue growth throughout Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance professionals, property managers, commercial and residential property owners, and industry partners.
- Represent ARS Responds Canada at industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a deep understanding of ARS’s restoration services and effectively communicate their value to potential clients.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and sales pitches to prospective clients.
- Track and report business development activities, progress, and key performance metrics.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the property restoration, insurance, construction, or disaster management industry.
- Strong network and established relationships within the insurance and property management sectors are an asset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively seek out new business opportunities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Valid Class G License and ability to travel throughout Ottawa and surrounding areas as needed.
