Peerless Trout First Nation is seeking a dedicated RN to help lead a new era of community-centered healthcare delivery at the PTFN Health Centre. This is an opportunity to work alongside a collaborative healthcare team while providing culturally safe clinical care, public health services, homecare support, and patient advocacy initiatives that directly improve the wellbeing of community members. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide culturally safe nursing care, health assessments, and clinical support to community members.
- Collaborate with the LPN, ACPs, Alberta Health staff, KTC health staff and other visiting healthcare professionals to support integrated healthcare delivery.
- Support public health programming including immunizations, maternal and child health services, and wellness initiatives.
- Deliver homecare services and provide continuity of care during weekends and after-hours as required.
- Assist community members with navigating healthcare systems, referrals, and access to services.
- Support infection prevention and control practices and basic clinical/laboratory procedures.
- Participate in community outreach, health promotion, and culturally relevant wellness programming.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional nursing standards and confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active registration in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) preferred.
- Experience in community health, public health, homecare, or rural/remote nursing settings.
- Knowledge of the Alberta healthcare system, including referral pathways and public health programs.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and culturally safe practice, particularly within First Nations communities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License and willingness to travel within the community.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to sign an Oath of Confidentiality prior to employment.
- Willingness to provide and maintain the following on an annual basis:
- Copy of valid driver’s license and consent for driver abstract access
- RCMP Police Information Check (updated every 12 months)
- Child Welfare Record Check (updated every 12 months)

Pay: $30.00-$54.49 per hour
